Streszczenie Praca prezentuje przekrojowo histori? aparatów sta?ych oraz zmiany zachodz?ce w rozwoju technologicznym zamków ortodontycznych. Szczególna uwaga jest zwrócona na zagadnienie prawid?owej pozycji korzenia z?ba w wyrostku z?bodo?owym w jego poprzecznym wymiarze oraz metody uzyskania prawid?owych warto?ci parametru opisuj?cego to po?o?enie – torque. Wychodz?c z za?o?eń 6 kluczy okluzji Andrewsa, s? tu kolejno prezentowane aparaty Angle’a, Andrewsa oraz pó?niejsze modyfikacje Rotha, McLaughlina, Benneta i Trevisiego. Autorzy koncentruj? si? na budowie zamków w poszczególnych systemach oraz sposobie ekspresji ich wszelkich parametrów uj?tych w preskrypcji. Mimo standaryzacji w leczeniu ortodontycznym, w przysz?o?ci nale?y si? spodziewa? indywidualizacji terapii przez wybór okre?lonych typów zamków dla poszczególnych z?bów w celu zwi?kszenia skuteczno?ci leczenia dzi?ki u?atwieniu, skróceniu okresu trwania i uzyskiwania wyników po??danych. Abstract This article presents the history of fixed appliance and changes which have been introduced in technological progress in manufacturing of orthodontic brackets. The biggest emphasis was put on proper position of the dental root in horizontal dimension of the alveolar bone and methods leading to achieve proper parameter describing this position – torque. Authors present different philosophies of orthodontic treatment: Angle’s, Andrew’s and Roth’s, McLaughlin, Bennet’s and Trevisi’s and concentrate on appearance of brackets in these philosophies and expression of all parameters included in the prescription. Despite the standarization of the orthodontic treatment, there is a future for the teraphy which includes choosing different and individual types of brackets for particular teeth. This can make the treatment more effective thanks to its simplicity, reducing the time of treatment and achieving its satisfactory results.
