It was my pleasure to attend The Endocrine Society’s 97th AnnualMeeting and Expo courtesy of the Elsevier/Oxford Centre for Dia-betes, Endocrinology and Metabolism Junior Research Prize for BasicScience in March of this year. Hosted at the San Diego ConventionCentre, we were certainly privileged to enjoy such an invigoratingscientific program with the idyllic backdrop of San Diego Bay. Thesheer volume of scientific information accessible over those foursunny days in California was certainly inspiring if not overwhelm-ing. With over 2300 posters on display, countless symposia andworkshops all areas of endocrinology were touched upon withinthe context of basic, translational and clinical science.
