A skyline query finds objects that are not dominated by another object from a given set of objects. Skyline queries can filter unnecessary information efficiently and provide us important clues for various decision making tasks. Now a days, GPS devices and location based services are very popular and they can easily connect users and make groups. Conventional skyline queries are not sufficient to obtain valuable knowledge to fulfil the needs of such groups. Considering this fact, in this paper, we proposed a spatial skyline query for groups of users located at different positions. Our proposed skyline query algorithm selects a set of spatial objects to fulfil the groups’ needs. For example, if a group wants to find a restaurant to hold a meeting, our method can select a convenient place for all users of the group. We performed several extensive experiments to show the effectiveness of our approach.
