摘要

Go game is considered as the most complex intellectual game which challenges the brainpower of human beings, which, not like chess, has not been conquered by manned super computer yet up to the present. The fundamental question in Go game is how to understand the strategy of Go game players, thus as a basic step toward the understanding of Go game, we collect a large amount of Go game data from real-world professional and Internet amateur matches and investigate the behavior of playing Go games, including the distribution of total step number in one match and the stone distribution on the two dimensional board at different stage of games. Our analysis reveals the vital difference between professional and amateur players, both in steps distribution and stone distribution which might be important for designing intelligent algorithms and strategies in Go games. In addition, we also find the slight difference among professional masters in China, Japan and Korea, which might be caused by difference culture Go culture.
