Aims. Istudy new deep (-1.65mag) occultation events of the Scuti, Herbig Ae/Be star V1247Ori in the OriOB1b association. Methods. Iuse the V-band ASAS light curve ofV1247Ori, which covers the last nine years, together withphotometric data in the near-ultraviolet, visible, near-, andfar-infrared taken from the literature. Icarry out a periodogramanalysis of the ``cleaned'' light curve and construct the spectralenergy distribution of the star. Results. The star V1247Ori is interesting for the study ofthe UXOrionis phenomenon, in which Herbig Ae/Be stars areocculted by their protoplanetary discs, for three reasons: brightness (mag), large infrared excess at 20-100m (Jy), and photometric stability out of occultation (mag), which may help to determine the location and spatial structure of the occulting disc clumps.
