摘要

Quick positioning is the prime requirements of current electro-optical tracking system to achieve quick target acquisition or geo-pointing. A scheme was proposed [1] for realizing this feature using 2-axis, four gimbaled sight. The mismatch of acceleration capability of inner (direct drive) and outer (geared drive) servo loops was addressed by suitably modifying the command. Command modifier has been improved for starting and settling phase of response for larger commands. Also, it has been used for quick and smooth cueing of target and auto-locking it.
