Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) areubiquitous environmental contaminants derived fromincomplete combustion and crude oil. Benzo[a]pyrene(B[a]P), the representative PAHs, is typically associatedwith toxicity, B[a]P also has been suggested asendocrine disrupter by negatively impactingreproduction; decrease in egg output, estradiol-17β (E2)and vitellogenin production. In this study, weinvestigated the effects of B[a]P on ovarian maturationof chameleon goby, Tridentiger trigonocephalus.
