Contributions received by this journal increased in 1971 to 682, as compared with 650 in 1970. The constantly growing problem of selection has been, as before, settled largely by experts whose only compensation must be a sense of service to their colleagues, both writers and readers. Their names—323 as compared to 322 in 1970—are gratefully recorded here.
