Raptor code to mitigate Pilot contamination in Massive MiMo

摘要

Very large multi- input multi- output or massive MiMo (m-MiMo) is a promising approach to enhance energy efficiency for next generation wireless network 5G. However, m-MiMo suffers from pilot contamination which limits its performance. To resolve this issue, a new scheme is proposed in the present article, in which receiver uses Raptor decoded symbols conjointly with Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) technique. This method does not require pilot symbols at receiver to estimate the channel. Simulation results agree that the new system performs the optimal case when information of channel is perfectly known at the receiver.
