When I think ofit now, it unsettles me; howdisconnected I was frommy body. I think, it is thefear ofcancer which is more dreadfulthan thecancer itself. We never imaginethat“accidents,”“cancer,”and “death”can happen to us tillthey actually occur. When I learnt that I had cancer, I was devastated. There were mixed emotions ofshock and confusion. Aflurry ofthoughts becamethe newnormalforafewdays.
