Introduction: Medical conferences pack a large amount of informa-tion. Live-tweeting of information presented at a conference, hasrecently gained a lot of popularity, can help to disseminate the keymessages from the conference to a broader audience, but it oftenleads to significant clutter. Combining the idea of visual abstractsand live-tweeting led to the concept of ‘Live Visual Abstracting’. Avisual abstract is a single, concise, pictorial and visual summary ofthe main findings of the article. Through Live Visual abstracts thecentral message of a presentation can be effectively conveyed to awider audience.
