摘要

The industries of the gypsum segment, due to the high production volume, represent a sector of great economic importance and that needs studies that visualize the efficiency of the production system. Thus, using the Value Stream Mapping (MFV) tool, the study was able to answer the defined problem, namely, what are the probable wastes and bottlenecks that the value stream mapping can help to identify in a company of gypsum sector. Based on time studies (chronoanalysis), it was observed that the calcination operation is the bottleneck of the production system, presenting a Standard Time of 6338.5 s, which represents approximately 55% of the total processing time for a batch with an average of 95 bags of 40 kg each. Thus, it is emphasized the importance of studying the calcination process, indicated as bottleneck process, from the observation of the high cycle time in relation to the takt time, which results in an imbalance in the rhythm to meet the demand.
