Methods: First, verify the suitability of Yin Meiqi’s Sense of Life Scale for college students; then conduct a questionnaire survey with Chongqing college students as the subjects; and finally conduct analysis, discussion and countermeasures. Conclusion: 1) The reliability and validity of the college students’ sense of meaning survey questionnaire conforms to the psychometric standards and is suitable for research on college students. 2) The overall sense of meaning of life of college students in Chongqing is at a lower-middle level, with significant gender and grade differences, but there are no significant differences in the dimensions of majors, family residences, and whether they are only children. Countermeasures: Establish a life education system in colleges and universities, establish life education courses in the sophomore year, carry out life education group psychological counseling, and carry out life planning course teaching and consultation.
