The spinel ZnFe2O4 anode material has been garnering attention worldwide due to its unique energystorage properties. In this paper, the research progress of ZnFe2O4 anode materials for lithium ionbatteries was reviewed. Accordingly, the structure morphology and synthesis techniques were firstintroduced in detail, and the modification strategies such as morphology control and carbon compositeoptimization were then summarized. Finally, future research prospects regarding ZnFe2O4 anodematerials for lithium ion batteries were discussed..
