The purpose of this study is the mapping of SME clusters in Semarang Municipality. Therefore, the patterns of distribution and development of SME cluster will explained. In addition, the policy development and clustering will further base its analysis on the spatial approach and local potential. Based on the results, it was found that the spread of SME was uneven and tended to be concentrated in several areas of Semarang Municipality. Then, the spread of SME did not aware towards the layout of the municipality. Even though it was in the trade area but it turned out that there were not many SME in the area. Furthermore, Genuk Subdistrict is the most established region because has three conditions for supporting the location of the establishment besides the Genuk region itself, which is one of the large industrial estates in Semarang. There are findings that in the mapping of SME there are no patterns of industrial clusters and SME that are mutually supportive and related.
