The marine carbonate reservoir in Sichuan Basin features abundant series of strata and high productivity,serving as the main contribution layer of natural gas reserves and production.Being an important stratum of the natural gas development in Northeast Sichuan,Jialingjiang formation of Puguang gas field has been well developed with a range of complex systems including limestone,dolomite and gypsum rock,which feature favorable conditions for the source-reservoir-cap rock combination.Due to the special geological features such as burial depth,thin,nonhomogeneous and complex lithology,and with no evident response of seismic data that cause low resolution of seismic data,the effective progress has not yet been made on prediction research on deep thin bed reservoir so far.Though some achievements have been made by the people on the method of forward modeling for thin reservoir previously,yet its study is simply focused on the seismic response characteristics of thin reservoir under simple geological conditions.Yet under the actual geological conditions,the distribution of thin reservoir can be very complex,with the study of the forward modeling of the complex geological conditions is rare.The paper will use the Jialingjiang formation of Puguang gas field in Sichuan Basin as an example to discuss the response characteristics of different special geological conditions of thin reservoir,this provides a theoretical basis for the study of thin layers with similar geological conditions in the future,reduces the multi solution and limitation of seismic interpretation,and improves the prediction accuracy.The research involved in this paper not only exerts very important significance in the exploration and development of this region,but also serves as an important reference for other similar basins.
