Advanced materials and multi-materials applied in aeronautical and automotive fields: a systematic review approach

摘要

The main objective of this study is to conduct a systematic review of the scientific literature published from 01/01/2015 to 01/01/2020, on structural lightweight materials and multi-material applied to studies of aeronautical and automotive fields. The analysed bibliography includes the 30 most cited references of the period with a total number of 1340 of citations and an average of 44.7 citations per article. All the articles meet the selection criteria of the well-known global citation database Web of Science, have been published in English, in Open Access, they are applicable articles to the aeronautical or automotive fields, and published in journals with an impact factor Q1-Q2, or prestigious conference proceedings. Finally, an analysis is carried out and some conclusions are drawn: aluminium alloys and FRPs (Fiber Reinforced Polymers) are the materials that have raised more interest during this period, multi-material components, additive manufacturing and states of the art are the most recurring themes, drilling is the most analysed machining process, metal-polymer is the multi-material type most studied, and the USA and the UK lead the number of articles published within this selected bibliography with 17% of the publications each.
