The natural gas combined cycle (NGCC) power plant has been a prominent technology for electrical power generation. Moreover, the relatively high efficiencies, low investment cost, and a low carbon-to-hydrogen ratio of natural gas compared to other fossil fuel sources have driven the attraction of NGCC plants for enhanced power generation. In addition to the need to increase power generation, there are environmental concerns over CO2 emission from thermal power plants.
