Changes in traditional business models provided by e-commerce have led to significant changes in the traditional logistics system. These changes deeply affected the processes and the way traditional carriers performed the logistics of their operations, once they faced different demands. The present study aimed to verify how the process of adaptation of the carriers happened, what were the results obtained and the impacts caused by the changes in the structures of these companies. For this, the methodology was based on a qualitative research, of exploratory nature carried out through a multiple case study.
