In this work, the acute toxicity of waste water of textile plant was investigated using Daphnia magna(water fleas) and Fenton process. In this study, samples were taken from a cotton textile plant in Bursa at the firststage, the treatment was made by Fenton process and then the toxicity tests were performed. In Fenton process, the appropriate pH, dosage of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) and iron III chloride (FeCl 3 ) were determined. Intoxicity tests, monitoring of toxicity were made at different dilution rates using Daphnia magna both in treatedwater with Fenton process and in wastewater. The acute toxicity scale LD 50 values were determined as %50 inraw water and % 80 in water treated with Fenton process. As a result, it can be concluded that Fenton processdemonstrated a positive contribution to the removal of acute toxicity in textile wastewaters.
