Discovery and invention in the field of neuroscience is progressing at a dizzying pace (Fielden, 2012), and the possibilities for the application of such innovations to the field of talent development can be overwhelming. It can seem as though a new neuro-panacea is being pitched to human resource professionals every day. Let us look briefly at the history of how we got here, and then turn to how to distinguish the beneficial from the bogus.
