Plant disease resistance(R) genes show remarkable structural conservation offering a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based approach to rapidly isolate R gene candidates (RGCs). Previously, we isolated eight RGCs from rice cultivars H359 and Acc8558 . In order to investigate their relations to genetically identified R Genes in rice, analysis on restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) was done on The RGCs. Six out of the eight RGCs, Osh359-1, Osh359-2, Osh-3, Osh-5, Os8558- 3 and Os8558-14, were localized on rice chromosomes.
