Wot bad, from where our readers have stood! In his March Editor's Note, Steve George asked our readers to share the once-in-a-lifetime view or experience that has stuck in their minds. "One of the little known but most extraordinary views within the National Park System is from Green River Overlook in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park in Utah. It looks across miles and miles of eroded mesas in almost all directions. If you are there at dusk or dawn, it's as if you've dropped back millions of years in Earth's history - an utterly silent land with no sign of humans or their improvements to be seen in any direction, just a seemingly endless primeval landscape. Very humbling."
