I always read Discover from cover to cover and find the articles enlightening. Occasionally, however, I think the authors show that they are too enamored of what I think of as the "gee whiz" factor of new science advances. As a case in point, the article "Future Wear" paints a wonderful picture of the possibilities of electronic textiles. What is not mentioned is what is to be done with those textiles once the electronics stop working or the fabric tears or wears out. Will there be a mechanism in place to safely recycle or dispose of electronic textiles? I would encourage your writers to consider all the "what ifs" of science advances as a part of the articles they create.
