I was tired of paying the rent, so after finding the property I managed to persuade the bank this building would give a big boost to my business. They believed in me and my work, so they spread most of the mortgage out over a fairly long timespan. My idea of the office is all-encompassing: a space where we draw, assemble, experiment and produce. The woven pieces are all produced entirely here. The basement is a true workshop, packed with electric cables, an idea that I got at university. These components normally used in the electrotechnical field have unexpressed potential. We knot them together and turn them into objects and shapes. The process of knotting is done here while we're investigating new and mono-material types of furniture that become, in practice, knotted masses of cables, built up layer after layer.
