"Natural gas engines represent a rare win-win situation, capturing emissions reduction and operational savings"So said Christoph Vitzthum, Wartsila Services VP, as he signed a co-operation agreement with Shell Oil aimed at promoting and accelerating the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a marine fuel.LNG will be made available to vessel operators and other Wartsila customers. It will initially be supplied from the US Gulf Coast and will later expand its coverage to a broader geographical range.
