Work is under way at a Lancashire harbour after diesel from sinking dredger Abigail H leaked into the searnThe vessel started to take on water while moored at the north quay at Heysham, Lancashire, UK, and at the time DPC went to press she had sunk halfway into the water.rnAlthough the quantity of diesel released is thought to be small, fire crews have been joined at the scene of the accident by local police and representatives from the Environment Agency. Equipment has been set up to stop the spread of fuel.
