In an exclusive interview with DPC, James Lyons reviews the highs & lows that planning for Choctaw inevitably involved and looks at the port's future. On Mobile River, Choctaw Point Container Terminal (CPCT) and the port's general cargo and bulk facilities have immediate access to two interstate motorway systems, up to five 'class 1' railway networks and nearly 15,000 miles of inland waterway connections. CPCT will, however, have a major impact on the immediate surrounding environment and it's taken over three years to get the necessary permits. Did Lyons ever wonder if those permits would come through?
