摘要

Computational modeling and simulation of structural and geotechnical systems have a rich history in earthquake engineering. From the earliest years of the field, researchers and practitioners developed computer applications to compute the effects of earthquake ground motion on buildings, bridges, and other structure-foundation-soil systems. It is now routine for design engineers to use a computer-based analysis of a structure to determine the deformation and forces for earthquake loading, typically assuming linear material behavior and small displacements, with equivalent static analysis or response spectrum analysis.
