摘要

The Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom. Candidates are sought for the role of non-executive Chair of the Bank's Court of Directors. The Chair of Court serves in a personal capacity, with an estimated time requirement of two days per week on average. All Bank of England non executive directors are appointed by Her Majesty the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer. The Court of Directors is the Bank's governing board, and comprises the Bank's four Governors and nine non-executive directors. The Court manages the Bank's affairs, other than the formulation of monetary policy. It has responsibility for determining the Bank's objectives and strategy, to ensure the effective discharge of the Bank's functions, and to ensure the most efficient use of its resources.
