The IMF headquartered in Washington, D.C. (USA), has an opening for the role of Chief Accountant and Deputy Director of the Finance Department (FIN). Duties and Responsibilities: The Deputy Director will work under the supervision of the Department Director and be expected to provide intellectual leadership, strategic vision and management oversight for the work of FIN, within a leadership culture that delivers high-quality advice and services to its global membership. As part of FIN's senior management team, he/she will contribute to defining the Department's objectives, priorities and work program; to the management of those activities; and to relations with other IMF departments, management and the Executive Board. He/she will fill the role of the Fund's Chief Accountant, and will have oversight responsibilities in several key areas, including accounting for the IMF's activities, financial reporting, the application of IFRS, work related to the Fund's external audit and relations with the External Audit Committee, and the IMF's safeguards assessment policy.
