For 60 years, Belmont Equipment & Technologies have been EDM pioneers by continuing to research, design and develop new products and enhancements for the EDM industry. The company was founded by Ping lanitelli, who worked as the Chief Applications Engineer at Elox (one of the first EDM Machine Manufacturers in the U.S.) from 1954-1958. He then decided to branch out and explore different business opportunities. In 1958, he founded one of the first EDM job shops in the USA, followed by Belmont Equipment in 1960. In those early years, he worked fervently to make EDM an accepted manufacturing process. Ping partnered with GE to develop the first premium graphite EDM material called Gentrode 10. In 1965, his son Larry joined the company as Vice President to help expand Belmont.
