After 20 years of producing technical articles for fhis magazine, ws sometimes run out of new and interesting EDM topics. Being quite careful not to be redundant, we have repeated several subjects over time. For example, EDM wires and electrode materials have been covered several times over the years, although each version was freshened with new products along with tips and tricks. Aiding in our need and rationale to periodically revisit certain subjects is the constant addition of new readers. With this being said, this issue's technical article will examine the discharge dressing of EDM electrodes. This piece ran once here over a decade ago, but because discharge dressing can be quite valuable to existing and new users, in combination with the knowledge that so few shops seem to be aware of it, my editor has asked me to revisit this subject.
