Recently I was showing a co-worker how I quickly pick up the OD of a round part in our Mitsubishi VX10 sinker and realized that some things I do out of habit may not be common knowledge. My technique for picking up the OD of a round part quickly with the probe uses a feature of the control that allows the operator to do simple math on the command line and some basic geometry principles.
