摘要

The trend towards the adoption of direct drive washing machines utilizing permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is increasing due to the mechanical simplicity and high performance and efficiency of the system. However, the traditional PM motor system uses position sensors and the drive needs protection against potentially excess high voltage if the system fails at a deep weakening range of operation such as high spin mode. A new integrated design platform featuring an embedded field oriented control (FOC) algorithm for high-dynamic torque control has been developed to address the challenges faced by engineers designing advanced washer application systems and improves washing cycles consuming less hot water to save up to 70 percent of energy usage.
