Numerous works of fiction tell the tale of people shrinking and suddenly being annoyed or even frightened by things so tiny they never noticed them in their former size. Tiny measurements are often the substance of attempts to prove to the world that a small amount of energy has, in defiance of conservation laws, been created. The huge measurements are usually easily debunked, but small claims have been given patents, gotten NASA scientists involved in the research, and kept university researchers busy for years. It is therefore constructive to consider the Liliputian's perspective of the world of electricity.
