The city of Southampton has developed a £450 million 'Renaissance' masterplan designed to create a city and waterfront environment that can compete with its European rivals as a place to live, visit and conduct business. Improvements to the docks will form a critical component in the overall strategy to help Southampton reiterate its status as a major port. One of the recently completed elements of this was the construction of multi-deck car parks for use as vehicle holding bays for import and export cars.
