Hylec-APL has recently introduced its new Kwik Fix cable gland range that is suitable for applications where access to the interior of a bulkhead or enclosure is restricted. The Kwik Fix is installed from just one side of a panel, doesn't require a rear mounted locknut and can still achieve IP68 sealing of a cable transit. The range is especially well suited for use with large switch cabinets and cooling and heating systems. Dome topped glands have traditionally been the gland of choice of plant and mechanical engineers as rapid assembly products generally require a special tool for assembly, are often awkward to install and form an unreliable seat. However, there are times when access to the inside is restricted and traditional solutions are awkward to install.
