摘要

The paper is devoted to the description of the functionalities and power control strategies of the propulsion system for an electric kart. The choice of an electric kart as a test vehicle is due to its simplicity in terms of mechanics but offering the chance to deal with a high dynamics vehicle. Bull-ET is at the same time a vehicle created by one of the student teams at the Politecnico di Torino to compete in international kart races. The paper describes the details of the electric drive-line and introduces a new simple control strategy for motor torque considering all converter and motors limits in relation with the battery power management requirements.
