摘要

In recent years, the possibility of incorporating type-II high-temperature superconductors into power applications, such as electric motors, generators, bearings and fault-current limiters, has attracted much attention. Hysteresis superconducting motors offer the simplest construction, and, in this paper, drum and disc configurations are considered. Comparison in terms of specific torque produced by both types of machines is presented.
