摘要

This paper presents a robust sliding-mode position control of synchronous motor drive. The traditional sliding-mode controller is accompanied by chattering which violates the controller output. The chattering problem is reduced by smoothing out the control discontinuity in a thin boundary layer neighboring the switching surface which is introduced in this technique. System uncertainty due to changes in motor inertia and the load torque is considered. A robust design approach is developed, yielding a robust controller against system uncertainties. Through, the simulation and experimental results, the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed technique is remarkably established.
