Europe's broadband market is expanding fast, pushed by demand from businesses and consumers for cheaper, faster online access and services. A range of broadband delivery platforms are now vying for prominence across Europe, including Asymmetric Digital Subscriber line, or ADSL, which runs over existing copper phone wires, cable modems and third-generation mobile networks. As yet, though, none is providing the full, always-on broadband capabilities that business-to-busi- Redwood, Calif., which conducts a quarterly survey of broadband usage.
