Nordic Semiconductor is not one of the world's largest silicon vendors, but in its target market of sub-1GHz and 2.4GHz ultra low power (ULP) transceivers it competes favorably with the biggest. In 2008, for example, the company shipped no less than seventy million transceivers to major manufacturers. Nordic's product range meets the demand for performance optimized and power efficient sub-1GHz and 2.4GHz ULP transceivers. The company also produces a range of ANT wireless protocol-based transceivers offering the benefits of optimized performance combined with the interoperability assured by the ANT+ managed network platform.
