The AFE5805 saves nearly 50 per cent space, has 20 per cent lower power consumption and 40 per cent less noise than integrated front ends. The device has eight channels of low-noise amplifier, voltage controlled attenuator, programmable gain amplifier, low pass filter and 12 bit, 50 Msample/sec ADC with LVDS data outputs in a 15 × 9mm package.
