With experience as a print shop owner, an advanced degree in photographic science, and more than 20 years in various positions at Kodak, Venkat Purushotham was the perfect choice to lead NexPress Solutions LLC, the joint venture formed in 1998 between Kodak and Heidelberg. Charged with creating and bringing the much-anticipated NexPress 2100 digital color press to market, Purushotham has drawn extensively on his experience to meet the needs of commercial printers, in-plant operations, and quick print providers. While at Kodak, he was heavily involved in thermal technologies and dry film, as well as Photo CD and Print CD projects. As president and CEO of NexPress, he is able to leverage the knowledge and resources of two graphic arts leaders to guide the industry into the future of digital printing.
