Publishing a catalog, no matter its size or complexity, is a time-intensive, arduous task. It is not uncommon for a firm to invest long hours for months on end to complete a single buyer's guide. To further complicate things, inevitable amendments to the data can cause significant delays and a wealth of confusion and frustration. And more often than not, catalog publishers soon find that the potential for errors increases exponentially as the number of changes required and people involved grows numerically.
