摘要

The Ground Penetrating Radars (GPRs) are one of significant directions of development in modern radiolocation. In military application the GPRs are used for detection of buried objects - antipersonnel mines and improvised explosive devices (IED), especially. The radar signals are one of technical determinants of this kind of radars. Ultra-wideband (UWB) signals with frequency modulation are important due to range resolution, which is crucial for small object detection in environment with strong clutter from ground surface. The article deals with chosen aspects of UWB Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) signal synthesis. The design and development of a frequency synthesiser for FMCW GPR system is described.
