摘要

The paper discusses the application of the method of least squares to the linear approximation of the results of the measurements distributed evenly along the axis of abscissae or the axis of ordinates. This makes it possible to significantly simplify the formulae for calculating the values of the coefficients of the approximating straight line. The application of the proposed solution to frequency measurements is outlined.
