摘要

In this paper the results of parametric analysis of toroidal superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) with tilted coils is considered. Volumes of superconducting winding and structural materials of support system as well as dimensions of magnetic system are examined. The results are obtained for mathematical model as a current surface with the infinite number of the elliptic current filaments tilted to vertical axis of thin torus. Estimations of the stray magnetic fields as a function of distances, tilt angles and relative size of torus are obtained. Possibility of considerable reduction of volume of the structural materials and simultaneously some reduction of dimensions of the magnetic system and volume of the superconducting winding are shown.
