The paper presents the complete analysis of the 2-phase induction motor having two identical stator windings in space-quadrature , but their voltages are unbalanced either by having unequal magnitudes or by changing the time-phase angle between them . The paper extends to cover the application of the motor, with a specially high rotor resistance , as a control servo-motor. Performance curves and practical remarks are deduced .
